Akrobatik (born Jared Bridgeman) is a rapper who hails from the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts.
He's first single, Ruff Enough, was released in 1998.
His second single was released on the Independent New York label Rawkus, Internet MCs, but it was his next release, Say Yes Say Word, that achieved anthem status and solidified Akrobatik's reputation as a talented MC.
He has collaborated numerous times with many fellow Boston rappers, and recently formed a hip hop collective named The Perceptionists with Mr. Lif and DJ Fakts One.
Friends since their early days on the local scene, the trio first started working together on Fakts One's college radio show in the late '90s, formally adopting the name the Perceptionists in 2000. A 2004 mixtape called The Razor was the trio's underground bow, before the official debut Black Dialogue was released in early 2005.
With fellow Bostonian Mr. Lif, Akrobatik appeared on both the Emergency Rations EP and Lif's full-length, I Phantom, before dropping his own excellent debut, Balance, in 2003.
In December 2005, Akrobatik signed to Fat Beats Records. The Brooklyn-based label released his second full-length album, Absolute Value, on February 19th, 2008.
Akrobatik has worked with several other boston MC's like Edo. G, Guru, Big shug, Mr Lif & more. Akrobatik has thus gained respect on the Boston hip-hop scene and beyond by combining political consciousness with battle style aggressiveness in his lyrics.

Boot Camp Clik & Black Moon
The Boot Camp Clik is featuring similar-minded underground hardcore rappers like Originoo Gunn Clapaz, Cocoa Brovaz, Buckshot, Heltah Skeltah, Bucktown Juveniles, Jahdan, Illa Noyz, Steele, Top Dog, Louieville Sluggah, Starang Wondah, Tek, Sean Price, Ruste Juxx all of whom are concerned about keeping the music real and on a street level.
The Boot Camp Clik is a big hip hop family similar to The Wu Tang Clan.
Instead of establishing themselves as a crew before recording an album together, the rappers -- including Heltah Skeltah, Smif-N-Wessun and OGC -- each made solo albums and reunited in 1997 to make For the People.
Happily, the group used the opportunity wisely, deciding to forge ahead to new sonic territory.
Their debut album, For the People, came out in (1997). Their second record, The Chosen Few, appeared in 2002, and other followed: The Last Stand (2006), Still for the People (2007), and Casualties of War (2007).
The members of the Boot Camp Clik is also individually active as solo artists today. They have many goldmines, so there is no reason not to explore.
Personally is love Smif-n-Wessun including (Tek & Steele). Here is a preview song.
Listen to "Tools of the trade" on youtube: Click here
Buckshot is doing great and is maybe the artist you hear most of now a days. He has made many albums on he's own & has produced two albums with the mighty wizard, 9th Wonder.

Buckshot if also a part of the old-school group: Black Moon.
Buckshot, along with 5Ft, and DJ Evil Dee is members of Black Moon.
The debut album, Enta da Stage, came out in 1993. An excellent album with plenty of old-school vibes on singles like "How Many Emcees" and "Who Got the Props."
Their second album War Zone finally dropped on Priority in early 1999. Third LP Total Eclipse appeared in 2003 on Duck Down.

Guru
Rapper/composer Guru (real name Keith Elam) first rose to prominence as the "lyrical half" of the hip-hop duo Gang Starr, one of the first outfits that attempted to fuse jazz with rap.
After three albums by Gang Starr hit record store shelves (1989's No More Mr. Nice Guy, 1991's Step in the Arena, and 1992's Daily Operation), Guru launched his own solo career, issuing Jazzmatazz, Vol. 1 in 1993. Gang Starr is the super duo consisting of non other then DJ Permier and the famous lyrical master, Guru.
Despite his solo career, Guru remained true to Gang Starr as well, continuing to contribute to further albums such as 1994's Hard to Earn and 1998's Moment of Truth.
Guru's jazzmatazz series is all put together in vol 1-4. Jazzmatazz vol 1, Jazzmatazz, vol 2(the new reality), Jazzmatazz vol 3(streetsoul), Jazzmatazz vol 4(the hip hop jazz messenger).
In 2004 Guru came out with the album: Version 7.0: The Street Scriptures. The first on his new label, 7 Grand Records, with beats by Solar (who became a vital force on 7 Grand's subsequent releases)
Guru has been known to release sleeper singles that cannot be found on his albums and has features in many branches of the game. Listen to "State of clarity"(ft.common) on youtube: Click here
Guru has collaborated with some of rap music's best-known producers, including fellow Gang Starr member DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Alchemist, Ayatollah, and DJ Spinna, as well as Ice-T, Naughty by Nature's Treach, Killah Priest, and Ed O.G.

AZ
One of the numerous thoughtful gangsta rappers to emerge from New York during the mid-'90s, AZ enjoyed critical success early in his career, particularly with his debut album, Doe or Die (1995), but commercial success largely eluded him over the years.
Born in Brooklyn, he initially garnered attention with his guest feature on "Life's a Bitch," one of the standout tracks on Nas' landmark debut album, Illmatic (1994).
Listen to Life's A Bitch ft. AZ on Youtube: Click here
In the wake of Doe or Die's critical success, AZ collaborated with Nas, Nature & Foxy Brown in the ill-fated supergroup the Firm and released The Firm: The Album
AZ released Pieces of a Man in 1998, another critical favorite.
But for the most part, that was it from AZ for several years as he fell by the wayside, not surfacing in a big way again until a pair of Motown releases, 9 Lives (2001) and Aziatic (2002), that didn't sell any better than his previous efforts.
He subsequently took his music underground, periodically releasing albums such as A.W.O.L. (2005). In 2004 the double-disc retrospective Decade 1994-2004 looked back over his career to date, gathering up various highlights. In 2006 he released the album: The Format, and in 2007 he released: Undeniable.
With so many albums out, AZ has a lot to offer. All the way back from the beginning of the 90's, and until today, he steady keeps on making that good music.
Even thought, AZ has collaborated with many high ranked Hip Hop Artists like Dr. Dre, DJ Premier, Nas & The Firm and more, AZ never got the attention he deserved. AZ is considered a lyrical veteran, and remain as an underground artist. Even thought he's strong effort to the Hip Hop game, he's exposure to the media became minimal, & he still rises in the heart of Hip Hop lovers today.

Masta Ace
With an impressive resume in rap that includes membership in the legendary Juice Crew (along with Marley Marl, MC Shan, Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shante, and Craig G) and a verse on the 1988 classic posse cut "The Symphony," Brooklyn's Masta Ace is truly an underappreciated rap veteran and underground luminary.
Masta Ace formed a Crew in the early 90's Called: Masta Ace Incorporated. The nickname given to the clique of rappers surrounding Masta Ace. This lineup includes Bluez Bruthaz member Lord Digga, vocalist Paula Perry, and Brooklyn based singer/songwriter Leschea. This lineup would work on 1993's SlaughtaHouse and 1995's Sittin' on Chrome before Masta Ace began releasing albums without their support.
In the 90's, hip hop changed dramatically. The decade was a big bang for many up and coming artists. The 90's was packed with beef, media arrangements and newcomers. Masta Ace's style became more modern and adapted to the new sounds of the 90's and Masta Ace continued to make that good, ill, off the hook, Hip Hop!
Masta Ace dropped: disposable art's in 2001. This album is so lyrically packed with goods and aspects that pinpoints the game for what it truly is, as he explains the difference between the Underground and the commercial media world. Masta Ace is first of all a Confrontational MC & that is only one of the reasons why Masta Ace and other MC's like him, don't get promoted as much by the media. This album is my favorite from Masta Ace!
In 2004 Masta Ace dropped: A long hot summer. This album is also packed with the good's and contains a lot of interesting aspects on life and the biz'.
Ace has been known to release sleeper singles that cannot be found on his albums and has features in many branches of the game.
Here is two feature preview of Masta Ace that you won't find on any of he's albums.

Blackalicious
Like a few other West Coast rap acts, including the Pharcyde and Jurassic 5, Blackalicious has generally favored what hip-hoppers call the "positive tip"; in other words, its lyrics have often been spiritual and uplifting rather than violent or misogynous.
Like a lot of experimental alternative rappers, Blackalicious can be quirky and eccentric; nonetheless, spirituality is a big part of the group's music. Although Blackalicious wasn't formed until the early '90s, its members had known each other since the late '80s. Founding members Gift of Gab (Timothy Parker) and Chief Xcel (Xavier Mosley)
In the early 90's Blackalicious has teamed up with the SoleSides Crew, consisting of: DJ Shadow, Lateef the Truth Speaker, and Lyrics Born. In 1994, that label released Blackalicious' debut single "Swan Lake." Although not a triple-platinum smash, the single was a small underground hit that fared well among alternative rap audiences. The following year, SoleSides Records released a Blackalicious EP titled Melodica. By late 1997, SoleSides Records had transformed into Quannum Records, and in 1999, Quannum put out another Blackalicious EP, A2G.
In 2000, Quannum released the group's full-length debut Nia (whose title is the Swahili word for purpose). After being together eight years, Blackalicious finally signed with a major label when, in late 2000, the Californians were added by MCA. In April 2002, Quannum/MCA released Blazing Arrow, which boasted guest appearances ranging from vocalist Zack de la Rocha (of Rage Against the Machine) to the Roots' ?uestlove to veteran soul singer Gil Scott-Heron.
The pair returned in 2005 for their third album, The Craft, with a contract in hand from the Anti-label.

Big L was a member of the DITC crew.
He made his solo debut with 1995's Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous, scoring a series of underground hits including "No Endz, No Skinz," "Street Struck" and "Da Graveyard"; Big L's best-known effort, the single "Ebonics," followed on his own Flamboyant label in the summer of 1998. Around the same time, he joined the Bronx-based hip-hop supergroup DITC (Diggin' in the Crates), appearing on their single, "Dignified Soldiers."
On the evening of February 15, 1999, Big L was shot and killed just blocks away from his Harlem home; he was just 24 at the time of his death. Both the DITC album Worldwide and the second Big L solo effort, The Big Picture, followed in 2000.

DJ Jazzy Jeff
DJ Jazzy Jeff's accomplishments extend well beyond his status as one-half of a multi-platinum rap duo. Regarded as a pioneering turntable tactician for his well-honed skills and for his development of the transformer scratch.
The Philadelphian (born Jeff Townes) founded a production house -- called A Touch of Jazz -- a few years into his alliance with Will Smith as DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh
Since parting ways with his partner, the DJ has worked on records by KRS-One, Kenny Lattimore, Jill Scott, J-Live, and King Britt's Sylk 130. In 2002, he put together a stylistically diverse solo album for BBE; Magnificent, like a Quincy Jones record, found Jeff supported by a number of co-stars, most of whom were also Philadelphians.
Two years later, Jazzy Jeff's first ever DJ mix Hip Hop Forever, Vol. 2 was released. The Return of the Magnificent, featuring another all-star support cast, came out in 2007. DJ Jazzy Jeff has also compiled a soul album called: The soul mixtape. With he's magic finders he can produce various art's and styles in both hip hop and in general.

It Is a technology that allows you to play your digital media from your computer, and transfer it onto a memory-vinyl. With this technology you don't have to drag around all your Vinyls, and has made it easier to be a traveling performer.

The Last Emperor
The Last Emporor, a West Philadelphia native has been an underground hip-hop mover and shaker since the mid-'90s. Having attended Overbrook High, Philadelphia's own hip-hop high, which saw the likes of Cool C, Steady B, and the Fresh Prince pass through its hallowed halls, Last Emp became a B-Boy by osmosis in addition to being a wizard in the classroom.
After graduating from the nation's first historically black college (Lincoln University), Emp took his act to New York, where he caught on with storied Lyricist Lounge. Emperor's first on-wax experience was a significant one, appearing alongside KRS-One and Rage Against the Machine's Zach de la Rocha on the cut "C.I.A." from 1998's Lyricist Lounge, Vol. 1. Having served notice to his scholastic street skill, Emperor hit the road to polish up his on-stage performance, occasionally popping up on mix tapes from time to time.
Having stirred the underground into a frenzy with rumors of a debut album, in early 2000 official word came that Emp had signed with independent kingpin label Rawkus. Distribution problems, however, kept the record off the racks.
Listen to his legendary Secret Wars part 1, on youtube: "Secret wars part 1": Click here
Last Emperor is out with three great albums that i know of: Place of the pretender, The legend of bigfoot & Music, Magic, Myth.

Last Emperor with a message, taken from he's lyric's, has a conclusion that 85% of the game that is involved in the media is based on a fake image. That MC's speaks about things that is not real. Things that has nothing positive to offer the world, and that the lyrics is only revolving around them self. No logic & common sense. Do you live your everyday life, pimp'in, or hustling with a tech nine in your waist? Most people don't...
Last Emperor, with he's political, historian, confrontational, street-smart flow, has given me chills down my spine. The Last Emperor gives me total satisfaction when it comes to lyrics. Nothing is is better, then listening to an intelligent MC that really knows what he's is talking about, spreading he's messages to the world, through he's music.
